Building's History

Building's History

In many respects, the Warehouse and Transfer Building embodies the ever-tenacious spirit of the desert Southwest. While most of Tucson’s early buildings were constructed using flammable wood and did not survive a few decades (much less a full century), our building has withstood the test of time. As the core of the Tucson Transfer Compnay it was a hub for moving and storage of most of the things that made our city great. See the attached story to hear about Collin Cameron and then his duaghter Mary Wakefield in their efforts to grow a business vital to Tucson.
